The Importance of Logs

So, I am heading up to the studes (studio) today after a very long hiatus. I checked my car mileage log an it has been nearly a month since I've been up there! It is a modest drive, 17 miles each way, approximately 25-30 depending on how much of a rush I'm in. But the miles and the time does add up: hence my trusty log. My new years resolution is to keep an even more accurate log next year, as I started in April, and have not been faithful everyday. Nevertheless, it should be quite useful come tax time! I suggest for all artists, independent contractors, freelancers and anyone else who drives for a living or commutes to their workplace to keep a log. As of January, 2012, the IRS reimburses 55.5 cents per mile, so this can really add up! I am curious to see exactly how many miles I do end up logging for this year-somehow I think it will be more than I expect :)

Rock Tumbler Instructions - Rock Polishing

Just opened my rock tumbler I ordered four months ago and am trying it out.  Already having problems with "leakage", so I came across this page and wanted to share.  I'm off to see about cleaning some grit....
