Rock Tumbler Instructions - Rock Polishing

Just opened my rock tumbler I ordered four months ago and am trying it out.  Already having problems with "leakage", so I came across this page and wanted to share.  I'm off to see about cleaning some grit....

The Hateful Gnats

Since I live in New England, I have both the pleasure and annoyance of dealing with the changing seasons. I only say annoyance now, as opposed to last year, because I have developed a new hobby of growing potted herbs. Since I am educating myself on this matter, everything seems to go the trial and error way. What worked very well for my plants and I this summer on the outdoor patio, is now not working so well for the poor darlings indoors. They are languishing, despite their hearty varieties: mint, rosemary, oregano, and lemon balm to name a few. Currently they suffer from crispy dried up leaves, black spots with yellowing leaves and most wretched of all: hateful fungus gnats. I just re-potted the bulk of them, and will do the remainder tomorrow. If anyone's a gardener out there, or aspiring herbalist (like me) you might find this blog link informative. Stay tuned for plant pics; coming soon. How To Kill Fungus Gnats With Hydrogen Peroxide

Hoodoo Lanterns via Conjured Cardea

Spiders Secrets gives props to Sarah at Conjured Cardea for sharing her wealth of knowledge and talent! Here is a link to her blog which shows how to make lamps in the Hoodoo Tradition. To me, they resemble a lantern placed outside for someone to find their way home, or as an object of homage.
